Left New England JUST in time!Check out the flood pictures in New England... I TOLD you it was raining HARD!
Thanks Kerry :)I finally made it to Boston on Saturday morning. I had gotten stuck in traffic on the way up Friday night and then hit pouring rain, so I stopped and finished the journey in the morning. Kerry & I had a relaxing day - getting pedicures, watching a movie, and eating Vietnamese food. We then went to the Masacote CD release party. I couldn't get any decent pictures, but I'm sure there will be some posted on the web. The performances were amazing and then Joel's band played the music from the CD, which was cool, jazzy Salsa. I saw a bunch of people I knew from back in my days in Boston, so that was great. Sunday I slept in and after picking up Kerry from Church, we went to the most awesome Brazilian restaurant (Muqueca) in Cambridge. The food was out of this world! Anyway, I made it back on Sunday (went a different way - thanks Dad). That's it for the really long trips in the car for a while, except a shorter one when Martin comes... to Ricketts Glen State Park (not going to Assateague Island, since there seem to be a lot of small craft warnings with all the thunderstoms along the coast). Can't wait 'til he gets here! May 11 To Boston I will go...I'm heading to Boston tomorrow for the weekend... lots of Salsa and visit with Kerry.

Hope to see all my old Beantown Salsero buddies on the dance floor! May 10 REI boxI picked up an order from the local co-op outdoor equipment store called REI (like Mountain Equipment Co-op in Canada) and carried the box to my car. I stuck it in the hatch and when I got into the car and looked in the rear view mirror... this is what I saw... someone was either REALLY happy or had too much time on their hands when labeling my box - he he. QUICK trip to Bobcaygeon, ONI am still recovering from driving 1000 miles last weekend, but it sure was worth it to see my family AND bring down my canoe. We had a little early Mother's Day dinner at a restaurant called Joel's in Lindsay... where Rita MacNeil - no joke - is singing this coming weekend! I'll post a few more family pics on my pictures link. |
